Forests Ontario is proud to be the lead agency of the Ontario Envirothon – a unique environmentally-themed academic competition that immerses students in hands-on learning and discovery.
Envirothon engages youth and encourages them to foster a connection with nature while developing important critical thinking and communication skills. A unique team-based program, the Ontario Envirothon challenges students to learn more about the natural world around them, focusing on forests, soils, wildlife, and aquatic ecosystems, plus an annually changing current issue topic.
Thank you for you interest in volunteering with the 2021 Ontario Envirothon! The event is scheduled for May 17-18, 2021, with volunteer training planned for late April.
In particular we are looking for volunteers, with recent Vulnerable Sector Screenings, to assist as presentation judges or presentation mentors. We will also be accepting general volunteers to support with logistical support/as-needed projects. Please see the links below to learn more and to apply:
