Looking for a hands-on lesson plan that combines literacy, numeracy, art, and Indigenous Ways of Knowing and learning?

Join former instructor Amber White (PhD (c)/OCT) in creating your very own Wampum Belt. Learn the historical and cultural significance of the Wampum as well as how to offer your future students respectful pedagogy. After the completion of your personal Wampum, discover relevant teaching resources and sign messages of support to our local FNMI Students.

Have a Heart Day is a child and youth-led reconciliation event that brings together caring Canadians to help ensure First Nations children have the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of who they are.  Click on this link to hear Senator Kim Pate make a statement on Have a Heart Day, commending the children and emphasizing the importance of their cause
