5008 T2P: Experiential Learning
Build knowledge on professional actions through informative sessions, hands-on workshops, and debriefing with mentors. Prepare for Practicum, AFE, and your first classroom!
What are some possible workshops in this branch?
- Teaching/classroom simulations
- Practicum information and drop-in sessions
- Classroom Technologies
- Careers outside the Classroom
- Coding for Teachers
How does this relate to my BEd?
Workshops are scheduled in multiple parts to build on your skill set and gradually increase responsibility as you move from student to teacher candidate to teacher. During your professional development activities, you’ll be asked to draw on your prior knowledge and experience to collaborate directly with peers as colleagues and mentors!
Stay tuned for more updates on T2P this year! As teacher candidates grow from student to teacher, the Transition to Professional Practice (T2P) course guides experiential learning, professionalism, and job preparation over years 1 and 2 of the B.Ed. These important presentations, workshops, and professional development series are built into your timetable to ensure you won’t have any course conflicts. Additional details on each upcoming event will be communicated via the blog and OWL.
