Invitation to the 9th USLS Bangkok, Thailand

The USLS is a week-long Leadership Conference on social development for young leaders from all over the world. The purpose is to instill a sense of social responsibility as well as cultivate the attributes of selfless giving among our emerging world leaders. We are expecting approximately 1,200 emerging world leaders from United Nations Member States to participate in this event which focuses on developing leaders to bring about social change.

The theme of the Symposium is “INSPIRING CONFIDENCE, INSPIRE CHANGE”. We are inviting universities who provide holistic learning opportunities for young leaders, to become world-class global citizens and future leaders. The delegates will have the opportunity to expand their professional network and meet representatives from numerous United Nations Agencies at the Symposium. Last year, 11 United Nations Agencies showcased their work during the inaugural three-day exhibition: UNDP, UNAIDS, UNFPA, UN-WOMEN, UNV, UNESCO, UN OCHA, UNHRC, UNESCAP, UNICEF and UN-Habitat.

Humanitarian Affairs is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, World Association of Non-Governmental Organization, International Association for Voluntary Efforts and the World Alliance for Citizens Participation.  More information about the program, speakers and fees of the Symposium can be found at To view a short video of the previous 2017 USLS, please click here. You can also view the USLS 2017 Report here. We hope promising youth leaders from The University of Western Ontario will take part in the 9th University Leadership Symposium this year and become part of our global community.
