5008 T2P Schedule (Yr2)

Hello Year 2 Teacher Candidates,

I hope you’re enjoying practicum!

The 5008 Transition to Professional Practice (T2P) course continues throughout Year 2. Again this year, it will be scheduled on Tuesday’s from 12:30 to 3:30 and each session is mandatory unless noted otherwise. We are currently scheduling sessions based on the feedback you provided last year*.

New this year, we will be communicating T2P events in two ways:

  1. TheTeacherCandidate blog – events will be posted under “Courses” > “Year 2 5008 T2P” each Wednesday. Subscribe to the blog to receive update alerts.
  2. OWL 5008 T2P course site – event details will be posted each Wednesday. Details can be found under “Schedule of Events” and “Calendar”. (Teacher candidates will be added to OWL course sites a few days before classes start)

Share your experience

For the October 31 T2P session, we will be holding a Teacher Candidate Conference for both Year 1 and Year 2 Teacher Candidates. As second year candidates, you’re invited to submit a one hour workshop proposal! Please email your proposal to eduwo@uwo.ca, including a workshop title, description and justification. Proposals will be accepted until Monday, October 16.

 Choose the OCT workshop

The Ontario College of Teachers will be delivering a T2P presentation on Tuesday, November 7. They have a number of sessions to choose from – tell us which you prefer!  Votes will be received until Monday, October 16.

*To see other program and building changes we’ve made based on your feedback, check out this week’s BEd FAQ post

Enjoy the rest of practicum – we can’t wait to welcome you back to campus on October 16!

Warm regards,
Teacher Education
