The Boys & Girls Club of London offers programs and services that are planned to provide fun with a purpose. Using recreation, social activities, and education we provide opportunities for individuals to reach their full potential. The M.A.P. Program (My Action Plan To Education) is a program aimed at helping youth to continue on the road to success in school. The M.A.P. Program is based on four guiding principles Academic, Social, Financial and Advocacy.
During the 10 days with us you will work on project based opportunities during the day and work with students in the evening. We have a range of projects that include developing and creating new resources for our programs. During the evening you will act as a tutor in either our Junior (Grades 4-8) or Senior (Grades 9-12) Rooms. You will be working either 11am-7pm or 12-8pm depending if you are placed in the Jr. or Sr. Room. Tutors bring their academic knowledge and their life skills by helping the students gain a better understanding of fundamental study habits and assisting with 1:1 homework help.
