Police checks and proof of citizenship: These are due by September 2nd. We will be collecting these as part of registration/orientation on August 28 — be sure to bring both your original police check plus a copy. If you plan to use the OESC online service for your police check, you must begin this process now. The OESC will no longer be providing checks as of September 1.
Registration/Orientation: The B.Ed./Dip.Ed. program begins on August 28 with registration/orientation. Your attendance on both days is expected. A detailed schedule is not yet confirmed, but please plan to be here each day from 8:30am – 3:00pm.
Timetables: We are in the process of checking all timetables. A final timetable will be provided in your registration package (distributed on August 28).
Add/Drop: If you are missing courses and/or wish to try to make changes to your timetable, please make an add/drop appointment. Appointment sign-up sheets will be available in the Teacher Education office as of August 28. The first term add/drop period runs from September 2 – 8.
Textbooks: Many instructors advise waiting until after the first class to purchase textbooks, and for some classes, textbooks are not required. If textbooks have been ordered you will be able to find them by searching the Bookstore’s website at http://www.bookstore.uwo.ca/eSolution/course.php — choose Education Preservice Program from the box, then undergraduate fall 2014 or full term 2014 (depending on the course), then the course code.
Lockers: If interested, you may rent a locker for the year for $25 (cash only). Rentals will be available beginning August 28.
WesternONE Student ID Cards: If you are new to Western, you will need to obtain your WesternONE card. This card requires your photo, which can be uploaded through studentservices.uwo.ca. Please upload your photo by August 18. ID cards can be picked up here at the Faculty beginning August 28.
