Workshop Description:

The goals of this workshop initiative are:
.To enhance one’s teaching approach to science by showing how to create opportunities for students to critically think and problem solve.
.To demonstrate an inquiry science approach that allows students to ask the questions and take ownership for their own learning.
.To be reminded of the unique responsibility that teachers have of being able to open doors for students to careers that they may never have thought were possible.

The 1.5 hour workshop will include a hands-on building project and will provide connections for evaluation in areas of science, mathematics and literacy.
This workshop is primarily recommended for Junior/Intermediate teachers, but would be useful for anyone looking to gain tips and ideas for interactive inquiry-based science teaching.

Certificates will be granted to all participants and opportunities for follow-up support during practicum will also be available. Spots are limited.
